I started this blog in 2009 for my solfege students at the Kodály summer graduate program of Loyola University in Maryland. The goal? To provide a weekly assignment for the 49 weeks of the calendar year we spend outside the Kodály solfa classroom. Doing the assignments is encouraged, but not required, and the assignments are intended to provide a non-time-intensive means for keeping up skills and facility with movable-do solfege. All are welcome to explore.
The textbooks referenced in this blog include:
Benjamin, Thomas and Michael Horvit and Robert Nelson. Music for Analysis, 6th ed.
Molnar, Antal. Classical Canons.
Ottman, Robert W. and Nancy Rogers. Music for Sight Singing, 7th ed.
